As a stay-at-home mom, I know how important it is to get out of the house and find fun activities. And when we travel, we always try to find places where our children can also have fun. Therefore, this guide is intended for both locals and tourists.

With tourists and locals in mind, most of the attractions are located in Dallas, but there are also a few in the Dallas metropolitan area. The whole family can have a great day out, so many places are great for older siblings too!

Pro tip: always check prices and the calendar for Tuesdays. Many places intended for small children organize “Toddler Tuesdays” with special activities or good prices.

Among the best things to do for kids in Dallas, CAMP is a family favorite! CAMP counselors do a great job of engaging the kids and making it an interactive experience for everyone. Even as an adult, I had a great time!

So what is CAMP? It is a family-owned, interactive toy store offering fun for children and the heart.

I don’t want to give too much away because camping “in the dark” makes it surprisingly enjoyable. Additionally, CAMP changes its thematic exhibits every few months.
