Although there is no snow, there are many ways to get into the spirit of the holiday with Atlanta Christmas events, shoes and photography. Here is a list of our favorites.

I am not the richest person on the ice, but I still enjoy my skiing and walking around the ski area a few times! The court on the roof of Ponce City Market offers an incredible view of Atlanta. The Ultimate Guide To Downtown Atlanta

This popular holiday bar can be found in many places this year. The dining room is decorated as a Christmas set and serves Christmas themed cocktails. The Miracle Bar is the perfect bar to escape the annoyance of Aunt Susan visiting from outside the city.

Thousands of lights illuminate the botanical garden during the holidays. I hate going out in the cold, but it’s all worth it. Beautiful light is placed on flowering trees and other seasonal plants. Some exhibitions are accompanied by music, so travel around with mulled cider and enjoy a magical experience. See details here.

We love to explore the Rocky Mountains all year round and Christmas is no exception. There are over two million lights on the show, music performances and snow pipes (with man-made snow). Unfortunately, Snow Mountain is closed this year, but there are still other Christmas parties in the park, including the world’s largest Christmas light show.

Local Tip: Our favorite activity in the snow mountains is Galactic Snow Tubing. If you like bowling, this is for you.

We visited Santa’s Fantastical, which has since closed, but Santa’s Secret ‘Stache is temporarily run by the same company. It features live performances, costumes, games, graphics, animations, beautiful scenery and more. The image below is from Fantatical Santa.

Local Tip: It is not allowed to bring food and drink outside, but there are snacks with hot chocolate and seasonal products.

We were lucky enough to live near the traditional German Christkindl Market. There are many vendors offering gifts, drinks and exotic food. Take photos with your favorite Atlanta Christmas tree, watch live performances and try authentic German food and drinks. More information here.

There is now also a Santa Tiki Bar and Cool Snow Island allowed with a 575-foot snow tube slide (for an additional fee).

I have never loved ballet. However, “The Nutcracker” has always been a lovely tradition in Atlanta. For the first time in 20 years, the Atlanta Ballet presents a new version of this Christmas story. This year is the last year the Atlanta Ballet will perform “The Nutcracker” at the Fox Theater. Expect world-class new dance moves, stunning costume designs and stunning original costumes. Everyone’s favorite Christmas story is staged live at the League Festival. Ebenezer Scrooge is my favorite character, especially in this classic.

On the roof of Macy’s parking lot is a large “old” tent with a train tradition of more than 50 years. The original Pink Tree started as a railroad track along Rich’s ceiling, giving children the experience of “flying” through the playground. I first rode it in 1989, mostly because of its name. Haha
