Boulder, Colorado offers visitors a vibrant city life without the hustle and bustle of a larger city, with incredible natural beauty just around the corner, and a population of over 100,000. Located near Denver, I highly recommend a visit, if you are. visit the national capital or travel to these places. It is perfect for a day trip from Denver or can be used as a base to explore the surrounding nature.

Originally settled by the Arapaho, along with the Cheyenne, Comanche and Sioux tribes, the city was founded as Boulder City in 1858 during the Pike’s Peak Gold Rush, when the area was still part of Nebraska (only Colorado was created 3 years later ). It is home to the state’s largest university (University of Colorado Boulder) and the Flatirons, the Iron Mountains that have become a city landmark.
Boulder, the county seat of the same name, is located in the Boulder Valley and is just north of Denver, Colorado’s capital and largest city. It only takes half an hour’s cross-city drive to go from one city to another
. It is located in the northern part of the state of Colorado and is on the road between Denver and Wyoming.
You can also get to Boulder from Denver by public transportation. This is a great option for those who want to go on a day trip without renting a car. The bus is the RTD (Regional Transport District) FF1.

Downtown Boulder is relatively small in size, so it’s very easy to walk. Life revolves around Pearl Street, a brick street lined with bars, restaurants, shops and businesses. With many shops, antique shops even keep people from shopping in the city. Getting lost in the items displayed by the antique dealers or entering one of the art galleries is like visiting a small free museum.
Anyone visiting Boulder should start and end on Pearl Street, which also changes its face throughout the day. If in the morning it seems like a quiet pedestrian street with people walking up and down doing their business, at night you will see it alive and interacting with people. Street performances such as student music and small groups are also common on Pearl Street.
If you enjoy walking outside, be sure not to miss the Boulder Farmers Market, held on Wednesday afternoons from May through October and on Saturday mornings from April through November. It was once recognized as the best farmers market in the United States. The entrance is located at the intersection of 13th Street and Canyon Boulevard, but you won’t have a problem finding it if you arrive in the area on the right day!
One of the most unique things you will find in this city is the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse. “Tea house” is not only a place to drink a classic hot drink, but a small work of art with a symbolic meaning behind it. It was made by artisans in Dushanbe, a city in Tajikistan that is Boulder’s close friend, who were sent abroad in parts and gathered here to bring a piece of Central Asia to America. Enjoy one of the many types of tea on the menu while admiring the wood carvings and paintings that cover the interior of the room.

Boulder is surrounded by nature with many hiking trails, mountain bike trails, and beautiful scenery. Therefore, nature walks are almost mandatory when visiting the city. Here are some suggestions.
Near Boulder are flat-topped iron-like mountains—hence the name Flatirons—that are one of the area’s main natural features. They are the natural fabric of Boulder, and many people come to Boulder to visit these extraordinary mountains.
