Fun Things To Do In Northern Virginia At Night – Thanks to our friendly staff, we are very happy that spring is blooming and our garden is blooming. We planted the seeds at Hothouse with our co-chef Brian Willmerch, who provided us with microgreens to use at our award-winning restaurant in Northern Virginia. Brian’s current greenhouse was nearly destroyed in the windstorms of early March, but has been repaired enough to give us a good start to the growing season. Brian also used this as an opportunity to build bigger and better greenhouses with the help of the Virginia Department of Agriculture so we can truly expand our gardens and expand our summer crop production. There’s always more to see at our beautiful hotel and restaurant in the Shenandoah Valley, and this season is no exception.
Here are some upcoming events and festivals we still have. Come and experience a little Provence in Virginia!

Before dining with us, stop by the Mother’s Day Herb Sale and tour the Virginia State Arboretum just 2 minutes from the hotel. The herb shop is the largest in the Northern Virginia area and carries most of the herbs in our area. This is a great way to enjoy the scenery and bring beautiful plants to your garden. Saturday and Sunday will be open 09:00 – 16:30, rain or shine.
Award-winning winemaker and winemaker Jeff White and his lovely wife Kelly will be present at our annual Glen Manor Wine Dinner. What a great time to honor this historic winery and pair their wonderful wines with the best produce and fresh produce from the Shenandoah Valley. Chef Richard Wright and sommelier Christian Burrell have created a delicious menu of wine pairings that are unique in complexity and taste. This annual event is highly attended and we recommend making an appointment by calling (540) 837-1375. Join us for an afternoon of fine dining and wine at our beautiful Northern Virginia hotel.
Mom isn’t the only one who deserves special treatment, so now is the time to honor the father in your life. On our fine dining menu at La Meze Provencal, we feature one of my dad’s all-time favourite, dry-aged, bourbon-soaked sirloin steaks from Martin’s Farm. Now we dry-cook the steaks to achieve the perfect juiciness in time for our special Father’s Day menu. Try it with a fine red wine or fine bourbon selected by Sommelier Christian Burrell, but this steak is sure to be a destination in itself. Take a break from grilling Dad and let our team of professional chefs do the dishes. A high-quality steak prepared with fresh produce from our gardens will be a meal your father will remember forever. Book a table now.

Check the branch hours before you go out, as it may vary by branch. All Northern Virginia libraries offer at least one children’s story time per week, and most have children’s sections with comfy chairs, painting areas, and more.
