Things To Do In Vail In Summer – What a strange life and journey the past two years have been. For the past few months, our family has been exploring the vast expanses of our homeland rather than wandering far. We always love Colorado in the summer. So the last two years have been the perfect excuse to enjoy where we live. Farda is our home in Colorado. Vail’s summers of 2020 and 2021 have been busy. But this was very different from the norm. 2022 will be like the previous years, events are in full swing, even tense.
Vail Valley’s festivals and concerts are back for summer 2022. The GoPro Mountain Games kicks off summer events on June 7. After last year’s event, which blew past its scheduled time limit, this year is set to be bigger and better. Sign up for the contest, or plan to wander Gear Town and check out Dock Dogs. There will be lots of music from Tweedle, Gowt Mule, Warren Haynes and Grace Potter and The Wailers.

Mountain sports are accompanied by the Vail Arts Festival, the Vail Beer Classic and the Vail Famers Market. Well done! Vail kicks off a summer of world-class orchestral and chamber music, mostly outdoors, on June 23. The Vail Dance Festival will be held on July 29.

But don’t leave everything in between. One of my favorite events this past summer was Farm to Table Food produced by Taste of Vail.
“We came for the winter, but we stayed for the summer,” Vail residents say more than once. It has nothing to do with big concerts or festivals. Because summer is the most beautiful time of year in the Colorado Rockies.
Sunny days and cool evenings await as you stroll along Gore Creek, hike Vail Mountain, bike, wade in the river, or picnic in the mountain garden. Well-to-do locals appreciated their terrain, fresh mountain air and easy access to the great outdoors. So it is this summer.
The dining experience at Vail Village has moved outdoors in 2021. Some of them will last until summer. Patients are prolonged. The dogs were more than welcome. There will probably be a lot of live music.
Vail Mountain Upgrades: Our Ever Evolving Mountain:
The Fourth of July is expected to return to the old celebrations. But maybe close. The popular parade will travel from Vail Village to Lionhead Village with patriotic floats, dancing, music and a special theme. The big change is that the traditional fireworks show is still presented as an unmanned show. The largest fireworks display in western Colorado, Avon, will be held again along with many of the usual festivities.
Even if all your favorite activities are back, you can try something you haven’t tried yet. There’s never been a shortage of summer activities in Vail, and there won’t be any this summer. Our one tip here is to book in advance. Demand remains strong and some activities may be limited for reasons other than the pandemic.
Several local companies offer Vail Pass bike tours. They will take you to the top of Vail Pass. Drop the bike. And you sit down.
Have you ever been river rafting? I really don’t like cold water. But there are different levels of speed. Every Father’s Day we cruise the river with Timberline Tours. There are three small streams. There is no need for wetsuits and you can avoid getting splashed with water. Our guide pulled it off, even after agreeing to the kids’ request to go back through the rapids.
Fun Things To Do In Vail Even If You Don’t Ski
Take a walk. Use your feet to take you where you’ve never been before. It strengthens. You can go easy and fun like Rifle Falls or get your heart racing with Mount Vail. Depends on you.
Vail has one of the best botanical gardens in the United States, the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. As you explore the gardens, you will see unique art. Next to it is an amusement park for children. Picnic tables along the river.
Fishing in Pine Lake. Fishing rods are available for rent at the pier. A must on your list of things to do with kids in Colorado!
Management? See one of the most beautiful landscapes in the area – the mountain range of Pine Lake. A few miles down a dirt road north of the highway is Piney River Ranch. It is a popular wedding venue due to its unparalleled beauty. The Gori ridge is reflected in the clear lake. Cabins and tents for rent. Beautiful hiking trails, kayaks and fishing poles for rent. horse riding. And, a delicious casual restaurant.

Want a mountain experience? Visit Beaver Creek! Even if you don’t have much on hand, it’s all very convenient. Many restaurants have outdoor patios. The lifts open on June 19 and each tour company will drop you off at the hotel to explore the many things to do in Vail and Eagle County.
Enter the epic opening scene. Gondola Bear and Eagle The Bach Gondola will take you to the top of Vail again starting June 17, 2022. After a reduced footprint last summer, visitors can expect more activity at Vail Mountain this coming summer season. Epic opening summer activities including Forest Flyer Mountain Coaster, Eagle’s Nest Tubing and Gore Creek Mini Golf should all be open.
Be a person who loves fishing. Vail is a great place for fly fishing. If you have gear, you can go fishing yourself. If not, there are plenty of crews willing to show you their favorite fishing spots, provide gear and guidance.
Do you love art There is a lot of art in public spaces. You can even find unique facilities in the hotel. And there are also many galleries. Even if the big concerts are postponed, you can find as much live music as you want in the village.
